The democratically controlled congress, in a narrow unpatriotic margin, voted to cut funding to American troops overseas.  "We're not cutting off the money for weapons, our troops will still be able to defend themselves.  Look, it's hot in Iraq, we're doing them a favor.  They need to come home.  It's just a law.  It's like speeding.  Who's going to enforce it?  Cops speed all the time.  It doesn't really mean anything.  The troops will have everything they need to fight the war they have, but maybe not the war they want.
